Abstract:
The field of electronics is currently facing major challenges related to the intensification of system deployment and electrification. These developments impact a wide range of domains, including transportation, communications, and intelligent systems. The power levels involved, frequency ranges, materials, and applications associated with these systems are extremely diverse. In this context, critical electronic systems are exposed to electromagnetic interference (EMI), whose spectral range and intensity continue to increase: frequencies extend from DC to optical ranges, while useful signals coexist with high power levels (≈100 kW). From the design phase of these systems to their certification, modeling and qualification tools are therefore essential.This presentation will focus on the development of innovative methods and methodologies in electromagnetic modeling. The presentation will illustrate the relevance of analytical approaches in electromagnetics through designing protection strategies, and contributions to collaborative academic and industrial research projects.
Sebastien LALLECHERE is PhD (2006), French HDR (2018), Professor, and PhD advisor. He published more than 200 items up-to-date (journals, books, conference papers).His research interests span a wide range of topics in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and related domains such as:
antennas and wave propagation,complex and reverberant electromagnetic environments,computational electromagnetics,stochastic numerical modeling, reliability and sensitivity analysis in electrical engineering,lightning and power electronics.
